DIDDY USES BARACK TO SELL PERFUME…SMH

Author: J'More  //  Category: Mogulness, WTF, celebrity ads

When it comes to marketing Diddy will come up with just about anything to make a buck! But, now he’s gone a bit too far and by that I mean using President-elect Barack Obama to sell his new men’s cologne “I am King“. “I am King” will hit stores next month and Diddy is hoping that the very same people who voted for Barack Obama will be more inclined to purchase his cologne.

“When you see Barack Obama, you see a strong, elegant black man and when people see my ad, it’s almost like that’s the trend,” he told The Wall Street Journal.

As for promoting the fragrance, Diddy is holding a luncheon in LA is hitting TV talk shows hard body. And of course Diddy is featured in the ads where he’s donned in a tuxedo on the French Riviera aboard a yacht, on jet skis and on helicopters.
When was the last time you’ve seen Barack on a yacht or a jet ski in the French Riviera?! Never…my point exactly! Wow, Diddy is seriously trying to capitalize on one of the most historic events in this country’s history by selling people a small ass and not to mention expensive bottle of scented agua! Real talk, whoever falls for this is a damn fool!

THINGS THEY SAY: JAMIE FOXX’ MESSAGE TO BLACK MEN

Author: J'More  //  Category: Politics, Things They Say

Barack Obama had everyone and their mama in tears when he won the election, even Jamie Foxx! Jamie is convinced that Barack has brought a “responsibility” to all African-Americans. So, stop blaming the man for your problems! He says,

“I don’t know how people felt but I know how I felt, as far as being an African-American male. I speak now to every African-American male that I see.Now we have a responsibility, a huge responsibility to make sure we do the right thing now and to cut out all the madness and silliness. Now we don’t have an excuse. We can’t say it’s the man’s fault when you are the man.”

Jamie has already made sure that he’s free on January 20, 2009 so he can attend Barack Obama’s inauguration in Washington, D.C. He adds,

“I’m going to be there. We are going to take the family down and we are going to have a great time”.

Jaime does have a valid point. No one, not just African-Americans can make anymore excuses as to why they didn’t get a job or why they’re caught up in the system. Well, in some cases those excuses are kind of valid…but you get the point! As for the inauguration StraightOuttaNYC will be there too!

BARACK LEAVES USHER SPEECHLESS…

Author: J'More  //  Category: Politics, Things They Say

The whole world must have been in shock when Barack Obama was projected as the 44th President of the United States. For R&B hunk, Usher he couldn’t even utter a single word as he was left “speechless” by Obama’s triumphant win over McCain’s old ass. Usher supported Obama from beginning till the end as he joined Diddy, Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige rallying voters the day before the historic election. According to Usher, he is pleasantly stunned that Obama is the first Black president of the United States because it proves that Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and those who contributed to the Civil Rights Movement truly made a real difference. He says,

“This will go down in history, in black history, for all of the sacrifices that the great Joseph Lowery and Martin Luther King made; this actually pays off for their sacrifice. The great Rosa Parks. So many people sacrificed for us to have a voice. It was one thing to have a voice but, to eventually know the best way to use it and then it grows into this, it’s just incredible. I’m speechless. I don’t even know what to say”.

This nation is finally taking a new direction. Too bad Dr. King and many others didn’t live long enough to see the “Dream” come true…they’d be so proud! My President is BLACK!

Rev. Jesse Jackson was spotted out in the crowd shedding tears…are these really tears of joy? Then again he did march with Dr. King decades ago, so this definitely a heartfelt moment.

Even Oprah was spotted gently weeping during Obama’s “Yes, We Can” speech.

It wasn’t all tears last night, many folks across the country and the world wild out in celebration. Check out a few images via The Huffington Post.
