With Simon Cowell stepping down from his spot in the judging panel of “American Idol” there’s been talk that funnyman Jamie Foxx is in the running to take his place. According to Jamie, he’s really interested in the position and would definitely hop on the opportunity if producers decide to holla at him. He says,

“Everybody keeps asking me. Of course I would take over for Mr. Cowell. If they officially ask, I’m there. I’m just waiting. I just think it’s amazing that on American Idol those guys like Simon and my man, Randy, make so much dough from watching people that are talented. That’s amazing to me and I could sit there and listen just like they do.”

Yesterday, “Rated R” Rihanna performed her new single “Rude Boy” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Known for her lackluster performances, Rihanna tried to her best to silence her haters critics, but still failed. I mean vocally she sounded better than usual, but visually she’s still a boring performer. Now, I know why she wears little or close to nothing when she performs–so she can distract everyone.

IN CASE U MISSED IT: WHOOPI GOLDBERG MAKES WENDY WILLIAMS CRY!

Earlier today I tuned into my daily dose of The Wendy Show, where Wendy Williams brought on Whoopi Goldberg onto the show. Now if you’ve followed Wendy’s radio show, you’d know Wendy at some point offended Whoopi on live air. Fast forward years later, the ladies made up on national tv, so much so I think even Wendy was in disbelief Whoopi agreed to do her show.

As for what actually went down between Wendy & Whoopi back in the day, who knows but everybody knows Wendy’s radio days was known for its shock value. Now that Wendy’s got her own show, she’s behaving and remaining tight lipped on all that bad talk. It slips out every now and then…but that’s what makes Wendy so damn entertaining. Can’t help but wonder will Whitney Houston have a change of heart and follow in Whoopi’s footsteps and appear on Wendy’s show?…I highly doubt it!

Somebody please get us the low down on the happenings between Wendy/Whoopi throwback beef?…

MUST-SEE FLICK: MTV’S “TURN THE BEAT AROUND” W/ JASON DERULO (TRAILER)

MTV is taking it straight to the dance floor in its new flick “Turn The Beat Around” set to premiere Friday, February 26 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. “This film is another great example of our continued commitment to diversifying our programming and creating new content,” said Chris Linn, Executive Vice President of Production for MTV. “By focusing on genres that resonate with our viewers, collaborating with emerging musical artists and breaking new talent, we are able to produce unique content made specifically for the MTV viewer.” The movie features dance pieces that fuse the hottest hip-hop moves with classic disco as well as a special performance from “Whatcha Say” hitmaker Jason Derulo in his first on-screen role.

Set in the competitive L.A. dance scene, the film tells the story of Zoe (Romina D’Ugo), a struggling young dancer who gets the opportunity to fulfill her dreams when she convinces Michael (David Giuntoli), a wealthy nightclub owner, to open a new club with a disco theme. However, as Zoe gets closer to realizing her professional ambitions, her personal and professional lives collide and she finds herself caught between the club’s young owner, her dancer boyfriend (Adam Taylor Brooks) and the sexy, overly ambitious choreographer (Brooklyn Sudano) she might be about to replace. Zoe must fight to overcome all the obstacles before her, in order to become the dancer she’s always wanted to be.
