There’s always a first for everything and Beyonce is experiencing her first of lackluster of singles. In case you haven’t heard Beyonce’s “Run the World (Girls)” is tanking on the Billboard charts. According to Billboard, “Run the World (Girls)” has climbed Billboard’s Social 50 Chart and lands No. 33 on Billboard Hot 100. For Beyonce’s standard, well that’s just a huge and overall disappointment. So what do you when your fans, radio, and itunes just aren’t feeling your single? Well you go on overload…
You pull out all the stops and get heavy on visuals….
Yesterday Beyonce and her camp leaked a teaser to her “Girls” video. Enjoy the twenty second sneak peak of the Francis Lawrence-directed video below.

What else do you do to gain her fans back and get airplay…you make yourself relevant i.e publicity stunt…
Beyonce is just a different caliber of celebrity to jump on any old publicity stunt. Rather than that, she opts to touch the hearts of all Americans. With renewed patriotism sweeping across the country following the demise of Osama bin Laden, it only makes sense to put out a recorded studio version of “God Bless the U.S.A.”
Coincidence? HELL NO! Talk about brilliant!!

According to ThisisRnB,
The song will air on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight,” with proceeds benefitting 9/11 charities. “#Beyonce is releasing a new song, a cover of ‘God Bless the USA’, and it will get 1st TV airing on @PiersTonight CNN 9pm ET,” wrote Morgan. “All proceeds from #Beyonce song will go to New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund.”
The patriotic single will become available on iTunes shortly after. “Fans should be able to buy #Beyonce song as soon as Friday on iTunes and from her website beyonce.com.”

Keep in mind she performed this song back in 2008 for Barack Obama’s campaign and it arrives the same day as the President’s visit to Ground Zero to honor those lost on 9/11. Beyonce sure knows how to stay relevant without being all up in your genius. And for this, her #s will go up and she’ll be back on top. Stay tuned for another stunt or visuals to come…

After months and years of speculation, humpty dumpty makes her official big announcement and confirms her gut is really a growing pregnant belly courtesy of Nick Cornball’s super sperm. MiMi broke the news to Access Hollywood this morning.

“Well, we’re here in New York; yes, we are pregnant. This is true. I’m actually dealing with this, and it’s been a long journey but it’s been tough…Well, it’s still early. We’re expecting in the spring,” she told Access Hollywood.

Nick gushed, “It’s absolutely emotional, but for so many reasons. The greatest gift on earth is a child.”

The truth is MiMi suffered a miscarriage about three years ago and they didn’t want to have any issues since it was so early. As for how far long she is, it’s pretty early and she won’t yet tell. And what’s juicier is according to Access Hollywood, MiMi didn’t pull a J.Lo and go in vitro, it was natural. In other words, Nick went raw!
Funny how when these two first got together, people gave them 3 months max and yet they’re still going strong…proving everyone wrong. Which leads me to question…how well do we really know if these Hollywood couples are the real deal? For all we know, this could all be just a publicity stunt to boost her record sales…yeah, she’s got a Christmas album dropping soon. Hmm, coincidence…I think not! Let’s just hope for MiMi’s sake that all goes well. Congrats to the couple.

KERI HILSON WANTS TO BEAT CIARA’S A$$?!

Seems like Ciara and Keri Hilson are really going to be throwing blows! The Georgia peaches are dropping their albums on the same exact day. Yep, Ciara’s long awaited Basic Instinct and Keri’s No Boys Allowed albums are set to drop November 30th. So, who do you think is going to come out on top? I’m putting all my money on Keri, I’m pretty sure she’s going to whoop Ciara’s Hollywood ass! Anwyhoo, in an interview with the Boombox, Ciara finally addressed the rumors of an alleged beef with Miss Keri Baaaby. She says,

“In reference to the Keri situation, I’m so in a different space mentally I can’t even bring myself to do that. It’s not [important] to me. There’s just so much stuff to get out of life than that. There’s so much more for me to accomplish in my career. Personally, I’ve decided that it doesn’t make sense to do that.”

So, is CiCi saying that Keri isn’t even worth her time? Sure sounds like it!

I’m convinced Ciara lied in that interview ’cause who was she talking to in “Basic Instinct (U Got Me)” when she said,

After a failed suicide attempt, former “Idol” winner Fantasia Burrino insists that she’s bouncing back. This past Friday, Fanny took the stage at Palm’s Casino Resort’s Rain Nightclub in Las Vegas as part of her comeback tour. Since her personal business has been the topic of discussion in the media, she had a few words for her haters.

“They thought I was finished, they thought I was done,” she told the crowd. “I would never ever stop, I don’t care what no one says. I was in the hospital but now I bounce back. Don’t ever let your haters stop you. Don’t ever let them stop your destiny.”

According to People, Fantasia belted out her single “Bittersweet” off her new album Back To Me and also covered Prince’s “Purple Rain” and Rufus and Chaka Khan’s hit “Tell Me Something Good”.

Glad she’s trying to reclaim her life, but she get’s no love for being a homewrecker. If ya ask me, the suicide attempt and the VH1 special was all a publicity stunt.

Yesterday Chris Brown stopped by BET’s “106 & Park” to discuss his BET Awards Michael Jackson tribute, the rumored tour with Usher and to teach his fans how to dougie. The ladies in the audience went bananas! Cue the clip…

When Rosci & Terrence asked him about his MJ BET tribute, CB said the following:

“A lot of people don’t know, I was going to see Michael Jackson the day he died. I was on my way to the Staples Center that day,” Brown told an overly excited crowd of weeping, mostly female fans. “When I heard ‘Man In The Mirror,’ it just touched me. It wasn’t fake. I know people were trying to put extras on it, but everything was genuine. That was my ultimate apology, hands down.”

When asked about the tour with Usher, Brown said it might happen at some point, but for now he wants to focus on his own career.

“At first we were talking about it, but maybe in the future. For now, just doing the Chris Breezy thing,” he said, adding that the video to his “Matrix” track will be released after his upcoming “Takers” flick, which hits theaters this Friday (Aug. 27). “It’s a five to six-minute short film,” he revealed about the clip.

Is it me or is Chris Brown looking a bit overgrown in that horrid outfit…not to mention that stupid Dougie dance. C’mon man!

STR8 TALK: MTV FORGIVES KANYE WEST & NOW HE’S A NEW MAN!

Almost a year to date, since the Kanye’s onstage award show rant and mic jacking from Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV VMAs. Shortly after that, MTV and the rest of America ostracized the whinning rapper. So much so it was rumored and some what confirmed MTV was just not f*cking with Kanye no more…playing America’s sweetheart, Taylor Swift, like that was just well…he crossed the line. During that time Kanye laid low, globe trotted with his then arm piece Amber Rose, produced a few hit records…but still somehow managed to keep it mum. Fast forward nearly a later, Kanye and his G.O.O.D Music group are prepping for all time GOOD Music takeover on September 14th. And after doing his thing on as a “blogger”, Kanye has finally decided to embrace the whole social media space (i.e. Twitter & Facebook) and embarked on a social media tour. All this to win the American public and media back. And tonight Kanye West finally makes amends with MTV, as MTV puts its differences and opinions to the side for ratings as it premieres Kanye’s “painting, not video” “Power” tonight at 11pm EST. Which goes to show…if you lay low long enough and keep the yapping to an all time minimum, people begin to miss you and next thing you know…”you’re back by popular demand”.

My take on Kanye’s comeback…well in my eyes he never left. We’re all humans and do stupid things in the heat of moment. Let the “Power” get to us and suffer the consequences in return. It’s all about learning from your mistakes. Whether or not Kanye’s using this apologetic manner to stunt his way back in good graces with the public…really doesn’t matter to me. It’s not like dude committed a crime. Yeah, he acted foolish and immature, but tell me someone who hasn’t. It still doesn’t take away from the FACT: Kanye is a musical genius. He’s a visionary…not your ordinary rapper/producer.

STR8 TALK: FOXY BROWN, EXPLAIN THE F*CKERY?!

Okay! What is the deal with Foxy Brown? I’m just so confused! How should I start this post?… probably from the beginning. Like many of you, I loved her the moment Foxy Boogie Brown came out! Loved her fake Jamaican accent songs! Loved “The Firm” collaboration. Loved that Jay-Z loved her. Loved that she came from Brooklyn. Loved that I knew people- that new people- that knew her. Foxy, unlike Kim (who I also love) was real and accessible. It felt like, I could have gone to school with someone like that. She was in a sense, “The Girl Next Door” or rather, “The Girl Down The Block”. I’m even inclined to believe that she possibly wrote some of her lyrics. To me, she could have been the next Queen Latifiah… okay wait; maybe I’ve gone too far! But, she could have at least been the next Eve. Acting career, makeup endorsements, and Ill Na Na fashion line! Some call her a bird, but she’s a bird that has staying power. Or rather, she HAD staying power. Now foxy is -dare I say it- on her way out. Out, like Charlie. Out, like Amil-lion! Instead of making raps, diss tracks, mixtapes… or attacking Nicki Minaj for the pr, she has:

Earned 80 Hours of community service for spitting on two hotel workers in ’97

Pulled a Whitney, Britney and Lindsay, going in and out of rehab in 2000

Crashed a Range Rover in Flatbush (yes Flatbush, that’s why I love her) Brooklyn, and thus arrested for driving without a license in the same year (2000)

Banned from Jamaica after she tried to evade a body search at the airport and punched a policewoman in the stomach in 2002

Pulled a Naomi by attacking two manicurists over 20 dollars. Received 3 years of probation and ordered to take anger management.
After expecting female rapper Jacki-O to bow down to Fox, a fight broke out at a radio station in Miami.
We all felt bad (well at least I did) when Foxy loss her hearing in 2005. But, then she assaulted a beauty supply store employee and plead guilty in 2007, and followed that up with throwing a Blackberry at a neighbor and almost running over a stroller with a BABY in it! A BABY in it!

Then sent to jail in ‘O7 for violating her probation, got into a prison fight, cursed out the correction officers and sent to solitary confinement.

Now, I can’t really blame her for any of what happened in jail, because that is my strategy if I ever get locked up.
I know there are two sides to every story and if someone comb through our lives with a microscope, we would all seem like we need to be locked up in an insane asylum. BUT, when you are famous you have access to not only money, but also the best pr and marketing agents in the world. Your team of experts would be able to spin whatever craziness into a justified and somewhat relate-able story. And even if the world doesn’t buy it-your fans will. Now as I stated in the beginning of the post, I’m a fan! And I’m not buying it! It has been two years since she’s been out of jail. But recently (July 22, 2010), Foxy decided to visit her arch-enemy (who already had a order of protection on her) and according to reports cursed her out and even mooned her. Out on $5,000 bail, Foxy just preformed at BB Kings. To which she attested to in court this morning by telling the judge and the entire courtroom:
“We just had a sold out concert at BB King’s,” she added. “LeBron James couldn’t make it, but I’m here.”

We’ll what other “great” antics Ms. Inga will pull before her next court date scheduled for January 28, 2011.

As far as her performance at BB Kings, I have one thing to say…what the hell is she wearing?!!!! Realtalk, I love me some Foxy, but she needs to lay low for a bit, fire the people on her team including her stylist and PR, and develop a comeback strategy. Idk, do something…

I’m just disappointed and confused, can someone explain? Foxy where you at?!

STR8 SNITCHIN: KANYE COME GET YA GURL, AMBER ROSE!

Sure it was all about bbq’s & beaches this 4th of July…but boo loving was definitely top on the list. With rumors swirling about Kanye and Amber Rose broken up, it was during the holiday weekend she was spotted getting extra cozy with Kim Kardashian’s ex, Reggie Bush, out in the Hamptons. According to Page Six,

“They sat close together, went for bathroom breaks together, and she was doing some sexy moves for him. It looked pretty hot and heavy.”

I don’t whats worse…Reggie boo loving with Kanye’s left-overs or the fact that Amber is a certified “opportunist”. Seems to me that now that Reggie’s stardom is sorta dwindling since his break-up with Kim and Amber is no longer Kanye’s arm piece…these two are just looking to remain relevant…at any cost. But seriously though…Reggie goes from one vixen to the next. Hmmm…anywhoo enjoy more of the fuckery HERE.
