In preparation for her Pink Friday debut album release, Nicki Minaj teams up with Black Eyed Peas frontman, Will.I.Am on the set of their collabo song “Check It Out”. Nicki further amplifies her infatuation with the Japanese Anime culture in new video.

MTV caught up with the duo on the set of their Thomas Kloss directed adventure and spoke to pair about their vision for the video and what they hoped to convey to the fans.

This year’s acts include Usher, Young Money’s Drake and Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz, Juelz Santana, Fabolous, Reflection Eternal, DJ Khaled, Ludacris and Gucci Mane since he’ll be out of the pen by then–let’s just hope he doesn’t get his a$$ locked up again!

You already know to expect the unexpected at Summer Jam. Last year, Jay-Z launched a massive assault on Auto-Tune with the debut of “D.O.A”.

Check out Nicki Minaj & her BFF/Kanye’s asspiece Amber Rose on the set of Nicki’s first single and solo video “Massive Attack”. The Hype Williams directed video is set to be draped in expensive taste including a pink Lamborghini and helicopters. As for Nicki’s new album via Young Money, that’s dropping later this year.

“I brought my BFF Amber Rose out here,” Nicki told MTV. “This is a massive attack. We shot the helicopter scene. Obviously, I had to have a hot-pink Lamborghini. We’re having fun in the car, and we see a freakin’ helicopter chase us. So we get on the walkie-talkie, like, ‘Mayday! Mayday!’ It’s really fashion and beauty shots, and we’re acting like we’re doing something important.”
