RocNation’s own Bridget Kelly was recorded performing the acoustic version of her single, “Thinking About Forever.” The song was released about a month ago and a leaked demo version by Frank Ocean was also available for listening. The song is written by Mr. Ocean himself, brilliant!

If Childish Gambino was just a rapper, he could have fooled me surely as good as this sounds. Gambino is an actor, writer, comedian, musician and rapper. You can tell by the theatrics in his music and video, spazzing out with more awkward hand gestures than Drake. He reminds me of Nick Cannon plus talent.

Joshua James Caughman aka Charm So! the local Brooklyn artist/producer/visual artist/fashionista and homie of mine has been loading ammo to take this game hostage and give Brooklyn back its voice! That sounds a bit violent, but believe me he is one of the kindest people who aims to shoot the gun of love. POW! In his music you can hear talent, struggle, passion, pain, and a true love for what he does. He has certainly come a long way into his artistry and perfecting his flow, image, and delivery. True artistry encompasses consistency of quality and an impeccable work ethic, and he posses them both aiming to make you feel in the depths of your soul, “like a sample”, as he says.

He was featured in The Source Magazine Unsigned Hype, which is certainly commendable as most of the legends in Hip-Hop were given recognition in there. Where is he now? Well, Charm So! is currently working on his upcoming EP Strawberry Fields which sounds deviously sweet.

It’s always refreshing to be listen to songs that are just relatable and not over the top and Extra, Extra is just that. Rapsody’s lyrics are relatable, flow perfectly and overall the best to chill and vibe out to. Mac Miller joins the female emcee on the track and together they kill the beat.

My love for Chiddy Bang began when seeing them live a year ago, they killed it. The duo knows how to put on an amazing show and their skills are unremarkable. I highly recommend anyone check them out and If you are unfamiliar with these two, I strongly suggest you go and download Xaphoon Jones Mixtape Volume 2. The tape is the best introduction on Xaphoon’s production skills.
