While some have lost their jobs and even their homes to the recession, others like rapper Fifty Cent have been hit in an entirely different way. The recession has caused Fifty Cent to cut back on the amount of bling he purchases. Really?! He tells The London Telegraph,

“The credit crunch has hit rap. I buy diamonds on a very regular basis, but now I am selling my old stuff before I get something new. These are times when you learn about the value of money. If you don’t lose money in this recession, it means you didn’t have enough to start off with. Adding, “Sure, I lost a few million, but that’s because I have so much. This is a time that will sort out the strong from the weak.”

And if anyone could teach people about getting rich without having to die trying… it’s Fifty! He adds,

“Any businessman who wants a piece of the future should learn from me. Obama is great. If he wants me as his financial adviser that would be cool.”

Before Ike Jr. aka Chris Brown whooped Rihanna’s ass, he had a pretty big endorsement deal with Wrigley’s Double Mint Gum. Apparently, Wrigley’s didn’t want their product to be associated with a woman beater, so they eventually scrapped the campaign and dropped Chris after he pled guilty to assaulting RiRi. Word is after all the money and time they wasted on Chris, Wrigley wants it all back! 

Chris Brown hasn’t heard the last of Wrigley Doublemint Gum.  He had a very lucrative contract with Wrigley and his ad campaign was not only successful, it produced his hit song “Forever.” Chris had apparently signed up for another five year stint with Wrigley and finished a number of commercials when the Rihanna incident happened. Wrigley pulled his ads and fired Chris. Now they are said to be preparing to sue Chris for all the money they lost due to his bad behavior. They spent big bucks on ads featuring Chris along with other celebrities like JayZ and Mariah Carey. Since Chris was in them also – everything had to be ditched. Wrigley is mad and we hear they hope to recoup the money Chris caused them to lose with a big fat lawsuit.

In related Ike Jr. news, Chris wants to thank all of his loyal fans for supporting him throughout the Rihanna beatdown drama by putting on a “fan appreciation tour”.

Looks like music producer Scott Storch is really strapped for cash, so much so that he’s now HOMELESS! According to TMZ, Scott’s sprawling Miami mansion has been repossessed. You really can’t feel sorry for the guy ’cause he knew it was coming since he failed to make payments on the home earlier this year. Last July, the producer who’s the ex-boyfriend of pint-sized rapper Lil Kim defaulted on the property, but it was saved from going into foreclosure after he filed for bankruptcy. Well, the bankruptcy order has now been dismissed and Sun Trust Bank bought the property back at auction last Friday for $5.5. million, which is $1.5 million less than its estimated value.

Cocaine is definitely one helluva of a drug!

Back in February, when Wrigley found out that Chris Brown aka Ike Jr. was accused of whoopin’ Rihanna’s ass, the chewing gum company “suspended” their campaign with him immediately after the incident. Wrigley’s reason for putting Chris on hold was primarily based on their belief that  he “should be afforded the same due process as any citizen”. Well, since Chris pled guilty to whoopin’ RiRi’s ass last month, Wrigley’s decided to drop his ass from their campaign indefinitely. OUCH!

Looks like Chris’ pockets are going to be hurting!
