Get ready for more coonery courtesy of VH1! On February 2 at 10:30/9:30c when “For the Love of Ray J” premieres. It’s basically another train wreck reality show wherer Ray J searches his ride-or-die chick.
Although his new show is being compared to Flava Flav’s “Flavor of Love“, Ray-J promises he’ll definitely have more respect for the ladies, who he insists he pampers with nothing but the best like (romantic getaways. SURE! I’m sure during these getaways he gets to superman these hoes. And speaking of hoes, meet Ray-J’s approved dames HERE!

BET’S RAP CITY GETS CANCELLED?! SAY WORD!

First MTV’s TRL and now BET’s Rap City is getting the ax! The blogs and cable industry are buzzing about the latest developments on the cancellation of the hip hop staple. Times really are hard…THE RECESSION IS REAL! Word is Rap City’s last official show is on October 26th. There’s been a lot of talk over at Viacom, but now they are officially pulling the plug. My theories on Rap City’s downfall: Big Tigger bouncing…He may be a prancing dancer and corny as hell, but ever since Big Tigger left the show, it hasn’t been the same. Hate or Love it! Yo! MTV raps was major in Hip Hop, but ya gotta give Rap City props for carrying the torch.
What’s done is done but I can’t help and wonder: Can we expect Rosci & Terrence to walk it out…real soon?! Is this a sign of the times? Is BET finally looking to improve its line-up, for real, for real? Where is this all going? Let’s just hope for better to come!
Rap City gave us the nitty gritty…there were many live moments that will be missed! Maybe I’m buggin, but shouldn’t rap city get some sort of recognition at the upcoming VH1 Hip Hop Honors next week. I’m just saying…

SOLANGE SPAZZES OUT ON REPORTER…

2 weaves and a SNAP! Solange Knowles appeared on FOX 5 news show in Las Vegas this morning to promote her album but it quickly got ugly when Sol check the reporter on her “unprofessional” introduction. Sol mouthed off the anchor telling her not to tie her in with her “brother in-law” or her family. However, the comments regarding her “brother in-law” were in fact made off air…so basically Solange comes off looking like a straight up B*itch…dumb but nonetheless a b*tch. Notice how Sol gets caught out there and confirms Jay-Z marriage to Beyonce by calling him “brother-in-law”. Whatever was said off air clearly pissed off Sol…peep her body language, Sol was ready to set it off on a bish! I’m all for defending yourself and all but coming off as a b*tch on the release date of your album is not cool! I luv the girl for having some backbone but she needs to slow her roll!
Something tells me there’s gonna be some serious wig snatchin between Be & Sol…since Sol let the cat outta the bag!
On another note: You know what would make an interesting interview…Solange on the Wendy Williams Show! That’ll never happen…

In today’s edition of daily swagger, reality TV drama QUEENS battle it out. Let’s introduce Isis, who according to US Weekly, is the transgendered contestant hoping to become America’s Next Top Model in the 11th cycle. The 22 year-old former receptionist was also part of the ANTM atmosphere a few cycles ago where she posed as a “homeless” chick in the background. Anywhoo, can Isis rake in more viewers than Laverne has for I Want to Work for Diddy? Check out Laverne killing it in the bikini clad up top. I’m saying, who’s got more fem-NESS?! Speak on it!

AUBREY DENIES PLASTIC SURGERY & TALKS DIDDY & CASSIE!

Aubrey O’day of Danity Kane stopped by The Wendy Williams Show yesterday to get her shine on and promote the fourth season of Making The Band. This chick has really extended her 15 minutes of reality fame…can’t knock her hustle. But check out when Wendy asks her about plastic surgery @ 3:12 and Aubrey pulls a Michael and denies the fixtures. Wendy also goes on the ask her about pregnancy rumors, the Diddy rumors, the Danity Kane break-up rumors, and Diddy/Cassie engagement rumors.

AWWW…DIDDY & BOOM KAT KISS AND MAKE UP!

With all the women leaving Diddy’s life, he just couldn’t let one lady in particular walk out of his life for good. Wondering who that special lady is? Here’s a hint: Diddy fired her ass from Making the Band Season 1 after they got into a lil’ dispute and she retaliated by filing a police report against him, alleging that Diddy picked up a chair and threatened her life. If you’ve guessed Boom Kat a.k.a choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson, then you’re totally right! Apparently, Diddy and Boom Kat have buried the hatchet because Diddy has rehired her for the third season of MTB.
According to Boom Kat, she and Diddy were good buddies way before MTV came knocking. She says,

“We had this relationship before MTV. So there was a place of, ‘Can we put this behind us? I believe in who you are. Do you still believe in who I am? We have something bigger than the show.’ And, of course, businesswise, it was definitely in my best interest to take the challenge to move forward and put it behind me.”

MTV’s producers knew that their reunion would make for good television which is why is whyt it was filmed and will be shown during the season premiere on August 19. suck not to see their reunion on television which is why. Speaking of their reunion, Gibson added,

“I said, ‘No chairs and no entourage’. There were no chairs, except the ones we were sitting on, and there was no entourage.”

As for the past beef between the two, Boom Kat insists that it was indeed REAL and definitely wasn’t made for TV. She says,

“This is the business, and people should know what it takes to make it and stay alive. I feel like the good girl might have won this time.”

Whateva the case may be, Diddy knew he needed Boom Kat and Boom Kat knew she really needed Diddy cuz her singing career wasn’t going too well. Peep the trailer below…hitting your sets August 13th.

DID I MISS SOMETHING?! CARMELO ANTHONY, A REALITY STAR?

Why didn’t anyone tell me Carmelo Anthony had a reality show coming out?! The show I believe is entitled “Carmelo’s Way.” Wonder if LaLa will make any appearances? Anywhoo, the show will premiere on the BET Networks channel BET J. On Carmelo’s website it explains,

After a 2007 NBA Season filled with career highs, unfortunate lows, and constant change, Carmelo prepares for life in 2008 and beyond, with a new approach to the game and a new perspective on life. He begins to realize people know Melo, but do they really know Melo?

What do you think of Carmelo as a reality star? In the words of Nigel D, is this poppin’ or floppin’?
