STR8 SNITCHIN’: LA REID FIRED FROM DEF JAM OR NOT?

The internets are buzzing with rumors about LA Reid was served his pink slip for lackluster year at Island Def Jam Music Group. Whether or not its true? Well let’s weigh the rumors…

According to XXLmag.com, it is all false. A rep from the parent company of Def Jam, Universal Music Group told the website, “[The rumors] are completely untrue and without merit.”

Prior to that Globalgrind was buzzing about Reid treated like a nobody when he was denied entry into his own office and removed from the Def Jam building. Reportedly, executives at the legendary label spent the better part of yesterday in an emergency meeting working out their next plan of action.

All I’m saying is haven’t a few of Def Jam’s artists’ record sales tank in 2010 under the guidance of LA Reid…if the shoe fits, then…u know the rest.
In addition to rumors of LA Reid being fired, there’s also talk of The Dream getting dropped from the label. WORD?! OUCH!
