Melanie Fiona finished off 2009 in such a memorable way. Not only has the Canadian songstress received a Grammy nomination for her single “It Kills Me”, she’s also snagged the top spot on the Billboard charts. According to Billboard Magazine, Melanie’s “It Kills Me” is now the #1 single on the R n’ B Hip Hop charts knocking off Trey Songz’s “I Invented Sex”. Melanie’s debut album “The Bridge” was released last fall and has reportedly sold just over 300,000 copies. Let’s hope this Grammy nod and chart topping single will lead to more sales…people are really sleeping on true talent.
