Usher is putting plans to launch his own fashion line on the backburner for now until the economy changes because according to him it will be too expensive for fans to afford. The R&B singer recently hopped on the celebrity perfume bandwagon, but now he’s looking to follow another celebrity trend by launching his very own clothing line. He tells the Associated Press,

“I’m building a lifestyle brand and I’m not rushing to do clothes. I feel like I’m speaking to my customer now with the fragrances, and, in this economy and with my style and attention to detail, my clothes won’t come cheap. It’s not the right time.”

If people can’t afford now, why does Usher think people will be able to afford his expensive clothes later?
