CIARA WANTS YOU TO “DO SOMETHING”!

Songstress Ciara believes that children are our future and that education is very imperative in one’s life which is why she teamed up with Staples’ Do Something 101 School Supply Drive in an effort to give back to the community. Earlier this month, Ciara along with actor Chaske Spencer and singer Leah Renee filled 5,000 bags with back-to-school goodies such as notebooks, calculators, and binders to be donated to needy local students for the upcoming school year. According to Ciara, it is our responsibility to give back to our communities and actually get up and “Do Something”. She tells Seventeen magazine,
“I believe kids are our future. Education is everything — education is your power, education is your way in life for whatever you want to do. So I feel like anything that I can do to help the kids further their education and help them be prepared, I will do. It’s really important to do.” She adds, “We have to be responsible, and we have to give back. As we get older, it’s important for us to help hand back some of what we’ve gained as we’ve grown older. It should be one of your responsibilities — it’s almost like being a mentor. If there’s a young kid that needs help and guidance, we should be there. I know what it’s like to have someone to help me, to guide me.”
Glad to hear CiCi actually cares about the kiddies!
