THINGS THEY SAY: MISSY ELLIOTT’S ADIDAS SNEAKER COLLECTION

When it comes to rockin’ the flyest and exclusive kicks, there’s no denying that the Hip-hop community has it locked! For some odd reason one shoe in particular, the classic white on white Adidas shell toes makes rappers go crazy. One rapper who can attest to that is Missy Elliott. Apparently, Missy is so much in love with Adidas sneakers that throughout the years she’s amassed a collection of over 4,000 pairs! DAMN! She says,

“Years ago, I had over 2,000, so I think by now it’s over 4,000.”

Wondering where she stores such a massive collection and how does she manage to even wear them all?! She adds,

“Oh man, it’s funny. I was just telling my mom I’m going to have to take one of my bedrooms and gut it out and make it into a big closet, because now I’m starting to put sneakers in the pantry. Even my maids are like, “No more, please! It’s too much. I try to wear as many as I can. But when you’re talking about that many sneakers, nobody—not even 80 octopuses—can put that many on. I have some favorites: the all-white shell toes always work, and the Gazelles are classics. But other than that, there are a lot that still have tags on them that I keep meaning to give to the Salvation Army.”
