Now that Kelly Rowland no longer has to worry about being Destiny’s step-child she’s taking the initiative to work on her music career. According to the songstress, we can expect to hear more of a dance vibe mixed with R&B on her new album.  Gearing up for some major promo work, Kelly plans to release her first single by the end of the summer. She tells Seventeen magazine,

“I can’t forget about the R&B roots I actually started with, so to fuse those two sounds in the studio has been really fun.”
