SOLANGE KNOWLES DROPPED OR NOT?!

First Kelly and now Solange gets dumped too! It seems like anyone close to Beyonce doesn’t stand a chance in the music industry. Word is Solange has been dropped by her record label, Geffen due to poor sales of her latest album SoL-AngeL and the Hadley St. Dreams. Apparently, label bosses over at Geffen refused to renew Solange’s contract due to the fact that SoL-AngeL and the Hadley St. Dreams which dropped last August has only sold 138,000 copies to date. DAMN! Snitches tell the Daily Express,

“Geffen did a one-off deal with Music World Entertainment for Solange. People at the label really liked working with her because… she was a constant professional. There were challenges dealing with her camp, but Solange was great to work with. In the end, the CD didn’t sell despite Solange’s countless high profile appearances”.

Poor Solange still can’t manage to get out of her sister’s shadow.

Meanwhile AOL Black Voices columnist Jawn Murray reasons that Kelly Rowland being dropped got so much press was to deflected attention from Solange’s being axed. WOW!!
