With a crumbling economy more and more Americans are tightening up their wallets and are becoming a bit more cautious when it comes to spending money frivolously. Even tennis star, Serena Williams is paying attention to our country’s economic crisis and has cut back from spending money on unnecessary things like a $1,500 Gucci bag or a pair of $800 Christian Louboutin pumps. She says,

“I really cut back, you know. I don’t know if it’s because it’s everywhere in the media, the financial crisis, but it’s low tide for me. I’m not out there buying crazy things. I’ve always been kind of been conservative, but we’ll see. It’s never going to be too much toned down, but I’m not going out there just throwing my dollar bills everywhere.”
