THINGS THEY SAY: 50 CENT COMPARES JAY-Z TO GANDHI


It’s well known that Jay-Z is loved and admired by many. But, who would’ve thought that he’s even admired by Fifty Cent! According to Fifty, he loves the way Jay handles his haters almost taking a Gandhi-like approach. However, Fifty admits that he could never just let someone disrespect him without striking back which is evident in his music. He tells XXL Magazine,

“Jay-Z is Gandhi… He’ll bear the disrespect for what? For working to be in a great position. So for creating the comfort that he desires for his life, he has to bear the disrespect. Because they’d like to be where he is. That’s an interesting concept because Jay (would) rather just let ‘em go. My take on it is, yeah, I’m gonna say something back, and he gonna wish he never said what he said. He gonna wish he never came around here sniffing around me”.


I never thought that I’d actually say this, but Fifty does have a point. Jay doesn’t pay his haters any mind and why should he when he’s worth millions!

  • 50 is confused, one minute he’s talking shit and the next he’s on somebody’s cannon (which doesnt happen all that often). I think he just likes to hear himself speak.

    As far as Jay, he doesn’t really need to respond to haters. He’s light-years ahead of eveybody. its like either they hate you or they trying be just like you….
