Rumors have been circulating the net for months about Jermaine Dupri’s position at Def Jam. Well, label bosses over at Def Jame decided to officially give Jermaine the ax even though he’s been working for the label as head of its urban division for almost two years and is also the reason behind much of its success. Damn, that’s foul! According to AllHipHop,

“Jermaine is set to step down from his role as President as he has been “terminated effective immediately.”

A snitch also claims that a formal announcement of his departure is expected as early as today. We wonder how his leaving will affect those artists on his TAG records roster.
