TOP TEN ALBUMS FOR 2009…


Entertainment Weekly recently listed the top ten albums to look out for in ’09. I can definitely co-sign many of their selections especially Maxwell- he’s comeback is long overdue. As for Dr. Dre’s Detox, I’ll believe it when I see it!

1. Jay-Z – The Blueprint 3 (released under Live Nation)
2. Kelly Clarkson – Title TBA
3. Eminem – Relapse
4. Maxwell – Black Summers’ Night
5. Lily Allen – It’s Not Me, It’s You
6. Keri Hilson – In a Perfect World
7. D’Angelo – Title TBA
8. Missy Elliott – Block Party
9. Erykah Badu – New Amerykah, Pt. 2: Return of Ankh
10. Dr. Dre – Detox
Hopefully none of these joints get pushed back, but with the fickle industry we’re in who knows…

Mos Def- The Ecstatic
Busta Rhymes- Back on My BS (with features by Lil’ Wayne, Akon, Common, T.I.- WOW!)
Andre 3000- TBA
Prince- MPLSOUND, Lotus Flower, Elixir ( 3 albums in one year, woozers!)
Lupe Fiasco- LupE.N.D. (three-disc effort, really?)
