BEYONCE: “PRINCE BROUGHT SASHA FIERCE OUTTA ME…”

Beyonce credits Prince for bringing out her sassy alter-ego Sasha Fierce to the forefront when she performed with him at the 2004 Grammy Awards. While family and friends claim that Beyonce has always acted like a completely different person when she hits the stage, however it took Prince to make her realize she “trances out” and becomes Sasha Fierce during major shows. She tells Giant magazine,

“That night with Prince, I was just in a trance. I don’t remember anything after I walked through the smoke onstage. I was definitely Sasha Fierce that night, completely free.”

But according to MaMa Knowles, she and PaPa Knowles first spotted Sasha Fierce when  Beyonce was just six and performed at a school talent show. She says,

“She got on that stage and became a different person. My husband and I looked at each other like, ‘Who is that?’”

Wherever or whenever Sasha debut, we’re glad she’s here and killing it!
