Talk about mogulness! Diddy just copped Enyce from Liz Claiborne, Inc. for $20 million. Claiborne originally purchased Enyce back in ’03 for $114 million, so yeah Enyce has definitely fell off. Do people even still rock Enyce?! Maybe with the help of Diddy Enyce will actually be something worth spending money on. Diddy issued a statement saying,
“Enyce is a brand that I have always admired, and they have been a very important player in the young men’s sportswear arena for over a decade. I am really excited to bring it into our portfolio of brands that already includes Sean John and Zac Posen. Given our track record of success in marketing products such as Ciroc Vodka, Unforgivable by Sean John, and all of our television titles, I look forward to adding our expertise to an already hot fashion line. Our long-term plan is to grow the Enyce brand through innovative marketing, expansion of the menswear and boy’s lines, and launching into new licensing categories”.
Despite the economy being f*cked up, Diddy is confident that his purchase was a great investment. He says,
“The current economic climate may be challenging, but we believe it is also an opportunity, and we are really excited to add Enyce to our lineup”.
Well hopefully Diddy can revive Enyce.

Moving along to the Beyonce mania. Jay-Z better bump up his shorty’s security team. A male fan, Robert Williams Jr. was arrested in Connecticut for reckless driving after he claimed he was on his way to a “romantic” liaison with Beyonce. LMAO! Dude was taken into police custody after he almost smashed into a police car and drove on the sidewalk. While being arrested he had the nerve to ask the cops if they were taking him to NYC because Beyonce had agreed to meet him on the George Washington bridge. Talk about crazy! The cops definitely slapped on his handcuffs extra tight and charged his ass with erratic driving, speeding and a whole slew of traffic violations before taking his behind to the psych ward at a hospital for a mental evaluation. Dude was really serious too because the cops found flowers and a teddy bear in the car addressed to none other than Beyonce. Glad his crazy ass is off the streets!

Seems like Diddy will talk to whomever will listen (including himself) about his purchase of Enyce. I’m not gona lie though. Very Smart move on his part. He will have Sean John at the higher price range and Enyce and the lower price range. That pretty much equals making money hand over fist.
