EXCLUSIVE: JAZMINE SULLIVAN @ STEVE MADDEN IN NYC

Last night StraightOuttaNYC headed to the Lower East Side for the 4th installment of the Steve Madden Music series, this time featuring up & coming artist Jazmine Sullivan. The set began at 7pm and by 7:30pm the Steve Madden store was at capacity and people were forced to watch from the sidewalk. Industry folks mingled and sipped on complimentary Tanqueray cocktails. Kudos for the beverages but it didn’t help it was hella crowded and the AC got shut off in the middle of Jaz’ set…or was it the alcohol seepin’ in? Anywhoo, when Jaz finally hit the stage, the crowd blessed her with a major welcome full of screams and major hype. She performed “Bust Your Windows,” “One Night Stand,” & her #1 hit, “Need You Bad” off her debut album Fearless.

Though it was a short performance, Jazmine definitely proved she can hold her own and kill it, despite the weak mic. The minute she exited stage left, I was out the door…all that body heat and bubbly flowing made it unbearable. Check out other folks who stopped by to show Jaz major love…after the cut!
