THINGS THEY SAY: JOE-”R. KELLY TRIED 2 RUIN MY CAREER!”

It’s been a while since we’ve last heard from R&B crooner Joe, but now he’s back with a vengeance by putting Mr. Piss On You a.k.a R. Kelly on blast. Joe released 6 albums with Jive Records over an 11 year period, but dropped the label earlier this year after Jive pushed back the release of his ‘07 LP, “Ain’t Nothin Like Me not once, not twice but several times! According to Joe, he knows exactly why. He believes his rival labelmate R. Kelly would call Jive executives and radio stations urging them not to promote his music too strongly
He says,

“R. Kelly was very instrumental in making a lot of decisions when it came to my records being played on the radio. He would make a call to the radio station or to the label and say, ‘Hey, this Joe record is too hot right now. Y’all (sic) need to pull that back.’ And they would oblige. It’s incredible that now I get the opportunity to, I don’t know, maybe pay (R. Kelly) back in some sort of side bar kind of thing.”

Joe insists that he’s doing just fine in the music business and is set to release his forthcoming LP New Man on September 22 through Kedar Entertainment Group, despite R. Kelly’s hater ways.
He adds,

“I’m still very relevant in the game. But yeah, he did try to make some decisions when it came down to my records being on fire, and climbing up the charts and on the radio stations. He felt like they should pull back because he felt he was more important. And with their loyalty to him, they obliged.”

I love me some Joe and the last thing I wanna assume is he’s trying to garner some media attention….but you can’t put it past him. As for Kellz, don’t be surprised if he is in fact hating on Joe…I’m saying he hated on Ne-Yo (memba?) And the dude pisses on youngn’s…why wouldn’t he hate on another RnB dude. All I’m sayin’ is why is this pisser walking free, shouldn’t his ass be locked up in a jail cell somewhere gettin’ duked by other inmates?!
