“Strong Island’s” songstress graces the cover of this weekend’s Page Six magazine. Ashanti talks about recovering from the Murder inc drama, returning from her hiatus, and desire to start a family. Nelly better strap those condoms extra tight…’cause Ashanti is claiming to want 10 kids! Check out a couple of quotes from the cover story.

“I’m not gonna play—it was hard,” she admits. “I’d hear a song on the radio and wish mine was next. But I respect a lot of the artists who’ve come along since I was out, especially Rihanna. She’s smart and she’s worked the business instead of having the business work her.”

“Trust me, if I knew then what I know now, that contract would have had a lot more zeros behind the dollar sign,” she says. “I was not an overnight success like people think.”

always loved ashanti despite what people say… talented girl who does not get the proper respect. She also seems real and fun… like one of your homegirls!
