Hip Hop still lives there but not Jonesy! New York radio station Hot 97 fires their morning show personality Tarsha Jones but better known as Miss Jones. She’s been replaced with two nationally syndicated shows, Big Boy in the Morning including the award-winning entertainment of national funny man Big Boy and MTV Entertainment Reporter Luscious Liz Hernandez and Cipha Sounds and Rosenberg early in the AM. Both shows will begin on Hot 97 effective July 21.
“Great talent is recognized by listeners coast to coast, and Big Boy is well known to be one of the funniest and hardest working entertainers in radio today,” said Sr. VP of Emmis New York Dan Halyburton. “Welcome to our neighborhood Big!”
As for Jonesy:
“Miss Jones will work all of next week which will allow her enough time to bid farewell to her listeners. “Miss Jones is one of the hardest working radio people I have ever seen and she made history with Hot 97,” said Darden. “Miss Jones will have the mic in mornings all of next week so that she is given her proper respect to tell her listeners how much she appreciates them and reminisce about how great this program has been.”
This is news to me. Some drama must’ve went down for Jonesy to be leaving. I gotta say as an avid listener to the show, eventhough she blurted out a whole lotta mess- the show was very entertaining and will be missed.

Miss jones mad it hot oh well hopefully she goes on to better things.
