THINGS THEY SAY: TEYANA TAYLOR ON ROLE MODELS
Tweet
The self-proclaimed princess of Harlem, Teyana Taylor has no problem with staying true to who she really is. On her debut album From a Planet Called Harlem, scheduled to drop in August shorty delivers a very important message to her young fans. Teyana’s message is plain and simple: Just be yourself! Apparently, she dubs herself the “teen president” and vows that she’ll never stoop low and succumb to pressure by the industry to act more sexually mature than she really is.
She says,
“Kids can’t look up to girls who are trying to be growner than they are,” she says. “And if you know there are a lot of teenage girls having babies, why would you want to be in a video half-naked at 17 or 18? I don’t get it.”
We don’t get it either!
