Last night ya gurl, LexAve, stopped by Ashanti’s album release party The Declaration presented by Bombay Sapphire & Vibe Magazine. As the former princess of RnB walked into the venue, the VIP crowd cheered and hollered welcoming her with open arms. Great entrance! It was a full on family affair, with her momager and baby sis in the building as well as other extended family members, unfortuntately Ashanti’s boy toy, Nelly was nowhere to be found. However as I exited the party, Irv Gotti rolled to show his ex some love….aww, how nice. Now though many sites are claiming Ashanti’s comeback album will only push 80K units, the songstress was in good spirits last night…laughing and dancing and hell she even took a bite out of a self-portrait cupcake. Check out this video clip where Ashanti’s mom gets the crowd to chant “Grammy! Grammy!” Well not to burst ya bubble MaMa Douglass, but based on the reviews of it…I highly doubt it!
