Great career & wealth? Check. Married? Check. Babies? Soon to be checked. And maybe with plans of retirement, Beyonce will have more time on her hands to play mommy and work on her mogul game…sounds fabolous, but is Beyonce really ready to step outta the limelight and work behind the scenes. Is the industry’s hardest working female act ready to call it quits?!

According to the NYDailyNews Beyonce’s cousin Angelica Knowles has informed them that Beyonce will drop one last album and then focus on recruiting talent for Jay-Z’s new label and that her first protege will be an R&B artist named Chelsea Thomas. Her reps couldn’t be reached for comment.

Something tells me Jay-Z is in the driver seat on this one. “Retire” to the Carters is just another form of making more money. Fooling folks into thinking “This it, Final moment!” when there’s about million other tour dates and album sales to come. Jay-Z invented this new form of money making and now Beyonce is adopting it. But for us to think Beyonce will quit the game, NEVER that… Sasha’s crazy ass ain’t going nowhere. Everybody knows Beyonce ain’t leaving without her Oscar. Sasha maybe taking a water break, but Beyonce Knowles is focused! And ya already know PaPa Knowles aint’ done milking his cash cow! Tina Knowles ain’t too far behind either…if Beyonce quits, who will rock her House of ”Done-it-Wrong” stage costumes?

  • beyonce’s last album sold over 5 milion copies, do i think she is going to retire hell no, i think she has a lot more to give. will she take a break? yes, but this is her last album with columbia not her last album period.she will do more albums, more movies and work on becoming one of the great ones, a legend because she has the work ethic to do it, just like alicia keys and even usher. Stop hating!
