TYRA COVERS ESSENCE!!!

It’s Tyra “Don’t Call Me FAT” Banks gracing the cover of the February ’08 issue of Essence magazine, on newstands now! In the new issue, she discusses building her media empire, her mission to change the game for Black women in Hollywood and why she’s so silent when it comes to her love life.
Although her career is on a roll, as the star of The Tyra Banks Show and America’s Next Top Model her early ambitions such as having a baby have been pushed aside. Banks tells Essence, “After the talk show started, and I had Top Model at the same time, it engulfed me so much that it dulled my maternal instinct. Being the first African-American woman to grace the covers of GQ, Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue and Victoria Secret catalogues, she hasn’t completely given up on raising a family some day.”I hope that when I get more of a handle on my life it comes back,” she says of the maternal instinct. But don’t get it twisted, Tyra isn’t complaining either. She says, “I’d go to work and women would be crying in my arms on the talk show. But then I’d go home and put my key in my door and … nothing: no friends, no husband, no children. I feel so full when I’m at work but so empty when I come home.” And as for that little rumor about Tyra moving the production of her shows all the way to New York from Los Angeles for some man she makes sure she puts it to rest, but continues to remain silent about her involvement with investment banker John Utendahl, 50. According to Tyra, “I’m very insulted by that rumor. I employ a lot of people; their livelihoods rest on my shows. The move to New York was a decision I made with my manager. It was not about a man.”
Guess it’s true what they say…money can’t buy you happiness. Calling all single good looking working men- PLEASE GIVE TYRA A CALL, HOMEGIRL IS IN DESPERATE NEED OF A MAN! And if she did move to NY for a man…who cares really??
