THINGS THEY SAY: ANGIE STONE ON A.KEYS

Yes A.Keys has her share of success, but there’s always room for improvement when it comes to a career in the music industry. And J Records called on soul star Angie Stone to become a mentor to Alicia. But Ms. Stone ain’t about that mentoring issh….especially when her own career hasn’t reached great heights. And because of all the mentoring pressure Angie claims she was forced to part ways with J Records & Clive Davis.   She says,

“I tell everybody I know, ‘Don’t train somebody for your job if they’re planning on firing you.’ “I felt I was in a training position to make Alicia Keys the next Angie Stone. She’s not me and I’m not her.”

How dare Clive encourage Angie to help boost Keys career while at the same time neglect her own….that’s bulllishh! You gotta look out for yourself first before being quick to help others!
